Children’s New Believer’s Baptist Confirmation
Once a child has accepted Christ, it’s so important for them to follow up with our New Believer’s Class. This class is four weeks long and very important for children to understand what it means to be a Christian and the meaning of baptism. The NBC class is taught by the Children’s Minister, Brother Michael Spitzer. If you are interested in knowing when the next class will be, please contact him in the church office.
Once your child has taken the class, you have the option to be baptized the next baptism held. Our next baptism following the New Believer’s class is scheduled for Sunday, February 17 during both services. If you have taken the class and would like to schedule your child’s baptism, you can do so here.
Children’s Ministry Event Permission Slip
Our Children’s Ministry enjoys various activities throughout the year. When we go outside our facility, we ask that our parent/guardian’s fill out an Event Permission Slip for our files. Though we never anticipate an incident to happen, we want to make sure that our children’s emergency information is available quickly if needed. You can use our secured, online form by clicking here or you may download the PDF and print Children’s Ministry Permission Slip.
Ministry Policy and Procedures
Mission Statement: The Preschool and Children’s Ministries will be places where children can come to meet and experience God in a way that He will become real and full in their lives.
Ministry Objectives: 1. We will teach children to know and love Jesus. 2. We will share the Gospel at every appropriate opportunity. 3. We will teach children to love and do missions. 4. We will support children and families through all of life’s circumstances. 5. We will provide the safest environment possible to offer a quality biblical learning experience
Child Abuse Prevention Policy: The safety and security of your child is of utmost importance to us at First Baptist Church Joelton. Because we desire to offer the safest environment possible for your child, the leadership of our church has put into place a policy to protect the minor children of our church. The goal of the Preschool and Children’s Ministries is to offer the best quality programming in the safest manner possible. All of our teaching staff and volunteers must go through an application process and a full background check before assisting with children or teaching.
For a copy of the full Child Abuse Prevention Policy as adopted by First Baptist Church Joelton, please contact the church office at 615-876-0527.
Preschool and Child Pick-up Policy: The Board of Directors has mandated that only those who are of the age of 18 and above will be authorized to pick up preschoolers and Kindergarten to 2nd Grade children. This means only the adult parent or guardian will be allowed to pick up your child from Sunday and Wednesday ministry times. Thank you in advance for your help and support of this policy.
Parent Pager System: Our Parent Pager system is a security check in system to ensure the safety and protection of our Preschoolers and children. We have implemented this check-in and security system, not only giving us a much improved and more efficient method for checking children in and out, but for providing better security measures as well. There are check in stations in the PATH Preschool area and in The LOFT. All children are required to use this system to check in on Sunday’s and Wednesday and for all special events. If you will be a guest of ours, you can come prepared by downloading and printing the guest registration form and bring it with you, you may download it here. Yours and your children’s photos will be added to your profile on your first visit. Thank you for your help with this process!
