First Baptist Church Joelton

Middle School

Joelton Youth Ministry (JYM) seeks to balance reaching the lost with the Gospel and developing the next generation of Christian leaders. In addition to providing a range of opportunities for spiritual growth and leadership, JYM also teaches students to serve. Whether it’s serving at FBCJ, attending dynamic conferences like Xtreme Winter and YEC, growing spiritually through Sunday School and our TREK program or experiencing amazing summer experiences like FUGE or World Changers our middle school students have amazing opportunities to grow in their faith.

Have questions or want to get involved in the youth ministry? Contact Youth Minister Mike Cunningham by email or by phone (876-0527).

Discipleship Classes – Sunday Evenings

We offer a variety of Discipleship Classes for students who want to dive deeper into God’s Word and grow in their relationship with Christ. These classes meet in the Deep End at 5:30 on Sunday evenings. The following are our current offerings:

  • Trek® (7th & 8th Grade) – (TREK LOGO is in the Logo Folder) The Sunday night discipleship option for middle school is called Trek®. The curriculum for this program comes from 24-7 Ministries, a ministry of Awana. With the addition of Trek, our already successful Awana program will now also provide a biblical foundation for our middle school students in a fun way that is relevant to their age. This program is designed specifically for 7 and 8th graders. (PLEASE NOTE: Sixth graders will have the opportunity to finish Truth In Training before joining Trek in 7th grade.) Trek challenges middle school students to consider their destiny in Christ and pursue it through life application of God’s Word. Click here to register your student.

Youth Worship & Bible Study – Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. – Every Wednesday night at 6:30, we meet in the Family Life Center and take a journey together into truth and the adventure that God is calling us to. With our games, music, media and creative teaching, we provide students a place to bring their friends where they can receive introductory, but challenging levels of the Gospel.
