The following are needs for material items to be used in the ministries of the church.
Baked Goods Needed - Our Good
News Club team is in need of baked goods for Monday, August 9, delivery of school supplies and teacher appreciation treats. Baked goods will need to be prepared by that morning at 8 a.m. Anyone willing to prepare an item may call Paulette at 859-0563 to pick it up.
Mexico Mission Shoeboxes - We will be collecting items for
school children in Durango, Mexico, beginning August 8. The church will provide
plastic shoeboxes, which the children use as lap desks. The plastic boxes and
a list of suggested items will be available at the Welcome Center on Sundays.
(If you wish, you may donate items separately rather than fill a box.) The
deadline for delivering filled boxes to the church is September 5.
Food Bank Items Needed - In the last few months, our church has
ministered to many needy individuals and families, which has left our food supply dimminished. We are in great need of the following items: canned meats
(beef, chicken, tuna, spam, Vienna sausages), Ramen noodles, crackers, canned
ravioli, Spaghetti-Os, spaghetti, spaghetti sauce, macaroni & cheese, canned soup,
beans, canned fruits and vegetables, and juice, and powdered milk. If you would like to help replenish the Food Bank, please bring such items to the church office.
Aluminum Can Collection - Our enior adults continue
to encourage our members to collect aluminum cans for recycling in order to
raise funds for various church projects. Save your aluminum cans and deposit them in the bin behind the Family Life Center.
