The following are needs for material items to be used in the ministries of the church.
School Supply Drive - We will be collecting school supplies for the
Rescue Mission Children and Joelton Elementary School July 20 - 27. Please
bring donations to the church and place in the boxes located at the Welcome Centers (sanctuary or the preschool wing). Prayerfully consider what you can give. Let’s be a blessing to those who need this assistance.
Specific items needed are:
Bottle Glue
Boxes of Tissues
Crayons (24 count packs)
Notebook Paper (wide rule or primary tablet)
Pencils (#2)
Pencil Boxes or Pouches
Plastic Rulers (with both inches and centimeters)
Scissors (blunt tip)
Washable Markers (8 count packs)
Special items also needed:
Belts (child sizes small and medium)
Underwear (new, child sizes 6-8)
Socks (child sizes)
Migrant Workers Clothing Drive - Ronnie Barron will be collecting clothing again this year for the migrant
workers. We will have boxes at the welcome centers for donations on July 27 and August 3. We are accepting work clothing for men (pants, shirts, socks, shoes, boots, hats, coats, jackets). Please do not bring women's or children's clothing.
Trash & Treasure Items - If you are able to donate quality, usable items (appliances, antiques, furniture, dishes, etc. -- no clothing, please) to sell on the Trash & Treasure Tables at the Annual Quilt & Craft Fair on August 16, contact July or Ralph Wilkerson at 299-9822.
Food Pantry - Our food pantry is in need of canned meats (beef, chicken, tuna, spam, Vienna sausages), Ramen noodles, crackers, canned ravioli, spaghettios, spaghetti and meatballs. Donations may be delivered to the church office. (Note: Please check the expiration dates. We cannot use food that is expired or will soon expire.)
Phone Books - Please recycle your old phone books at the recycling bin
in the Joelton Middle School parking lot across the street from the church. Place them in
the mixed paper bins. All donations benefit the Joelton Elementary and Middle Schools.
Box Tops & Soup Labels for Education - The Joelton Elementary Good News Club is collecting Box Tops (the little coupons on cereal and lots of other grocery items that schools can turn in for money) and Campbell Soup Labels for Education. This is one way they will help the school and continue to promote the Good News Club. If you would like to help, please leave your donations in the box at the church welcome center. We will be collecting these items on an ongoing basis.
