Church Directory Photo Session Appointments - On Sunday, August 15, we will begin making appointments for photo sessions for the new church directory. Photo sessions will begin on September 9. You can sign up online or at the table in the church foyer on Sunday mornings.
September 5 - No Evening Service/Activities - Due to the Labor Day holiday, there will be no Sunday evening service or other activities (no Awana, DiscipleLife, etc.).
September 9 - His Helping Hands Craft Ministry - We are starting a new crafting ministry called His Helping Hands to provide fellowship, education and creative ideas in order to uplift people in our community for the glory of God. Our plan is to work along side other ministries of the church, using our artistic/crafting abilities to create some little something that will brighten a day for those who need it. We will meet on a weekly basis, beginning the first Thursday after Labor Day, September 9. We will meet in Room 1105 on Thursdays from 2:00 until 5:00 p.m. to work on projects for a ministry, ourselves, or both. This ministry is open to men and women of all ages. September 12 - New Believer's Class for Children - The next New Believer's Class will begin Sunday, September 12. This class is a prerequisite for baptism and is taught by Children's Minister, Michael Spitzer. The New Believers Class will meet at the 9:30 Sunday School hour in Room 204, The Loft. Use the convenient online sign-up form or call Chrissy in the church office (876-0527) to enroll your child in this class.
September 12 - Free Estate Planning Seminar - In the event of a life threatening accident, do you have a living will? In the event of death, do you have a will? Do you have things in order for when you die? How can you be prepared? On Sunday, September 12 at 4:00 p.m. in the Worship Center, FBCJ and the TN Baptist Foundation will host a free estate planning seminar to answer these questions and help you prepare for the future. September 13-18 - Mexico Mission Trip - Luis Martinez will be going on a mission
trip to Durango, Mexico, September 13-18 to help with renovations on two churches.
Approximately $1,000 raised from the Deacon BBQ will provide supplies for the project. Thank you to everyone who picked up a shoebox for this Mexico Mission project. Remember, the deadline for returning your filled boxes to the church is September 5.

September 18 - Worship Arts Ministry Fall Retreat - Everyone involved (or interested in becoming involved) in any aspect of our music and fine arts ministries ( vocal, instrumental, drama, A/V, kids' music/drama leaders, etc.) is encouraged to attend this event on Saturday, Sept. 18, from 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. (includes continental breakfast and catered lunch). Quilting/Sewing Ministry - This ministry is open to all ages. The first get-together is
Saturday, September 18, from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. in Room 1102. Our first project will be making pillowcase dresses for little girls in Haiti. You don'’t have to know how to sew. We can teach you, or you can help with the cutting and pinning.
Our aim is to “learn and serve.”
September 19 - First Grade Bible Presentation & Luncheon - The First Grade Bible Presentation will be held in the Family Life Center on September 19 at 12:30 p.m. This event is for all incoming first graders and
their families. In addition to the presentations, each child and their family will be treated to lunch. To make reservations for your first grader and family, please use the convenient

October 2 - Cruisin' the Ridge Car Show and Cruise-In - The Joelton Christian Street Rodders will hold their annual car show and cruise-in in the church parking lot on Satruday, October 2, from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
