Mother’s Day Out

About the MDO Program

For more than 50 years, FBCJ has been offering a break to parents, grandparents and caregivers. MDO is an affordable way to have time to shopping, schedule doctor appointments, or just take some well-needed time off. This program is available two days per week on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. for children ages three months to pre-kindergarten. The non-refundable registration fee is $75. Mothers Day Out (MDO) has been a ministry of First Baptist Church Joelton since 1971. We provide quality childcare in a loving Christian environment, to parents of preschooler’s age 3 months to pre-K. Our greatest desire is that the MDO program is a safe and enjoyable place for your child to grow developmentally, socially, and spiritually. All children are welcome in our program regardless of race, religion or culture.

Schedule

Mother’s Day Out meets on Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm during the months of August through May. For those currently enrolled, there is a summer session offered on Tuesday & Thursdays during June and July. Fall will begin on August 13th.

Registration

Once a child is placed in the program from the waiting list, registration forms are then submitted. There is a non-refundable $75 registration fee per child that must accompany the registration forms. Each child must have current proof of a physical examination and immunizations on file in the director’s office. Your pediatrician has this form. Please download the 2024-25 MDO SIGNATURE SHEET and return to the MDO Director, Jenna Duley.

Tuition Payments

Tuition is $175/month with a 20% discount for siblings. Tuition is due by the 10^th of each month unless other arrangements are made with the director. Overdue accounts will be assessed a $10 late fee. If no payment is received by the end of the month, your child may not continue to attend until the payment and late fee are received. There is not a discount in tuition due to fall and spring break or if a child is out sick or on vacation.

Inclement Weather Policy

About our Weekday Preschool

Children can come to our fully licensed preschool education program three (3) days per week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. to learn important skills and have the benefit of socialization in preparation for Kindergarten. Our program has been awarded a top rating of three stars by the state of Tennessee and has an excellent teacher to child ratio. The non-refundable registration fee is $100. First Baptist Church Joelton has been pleased to offer a weekday preschool program for children ages 3 years to Prek, since 1971. Our greatest desire is that the P.A.T.H (Preschoolers Adventuring Toward Him) Preschool be a safe and enjoyable place for your child to grow developmentally, socially, and spiritually. The preschool is a smoke-free environment. We are licensed by the Tennessee Department of Human Services, and all children are welcome in our program regardless of race, religion or culture.

Schedule

All classes meet on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:00am – 2:00pm. The program runs from August to May. The 2024-25 school year is scheduled to begin on August 12. Children must be fully toilet-trained to attend.

Registration

Fall registration begins in March of each year and continues throughout the year as space is available. There is a non-refundable $100 registration/supply fee that must accompany the registration forms. Should a class be full, your child will be placed on a waiting list. Enrollment is complete when all forms, immunization record, and registration fee are submitted. Tuition Payments

Tuition for preschool is $215/month, with a 20% discount for siblings. Monthly tuition is due by the 10^th of each month, unless other arrangements are made with the director. There is a $10 late fee for tuition not received by the deadline. If no payment is received by the end of the month, your child may not continue to attend until the payment and late fee are received.
